This Is, Hands Down, the Best Hotel in Beirut

I'd heard so much about Le Gray over the last two years, with people both from Lebanon or frequent visitors to Beirut claiming it's the best place you could stay in the city. Situated in the popular Martyrs' Square, close by to great restaurants, bars and shops in the Gemmayze area, you don't necessarily always get great digs with a good location but in this case, I was pleasantly surprised to find both.

After a renovation in April (it originally opened in 2009), Le Gray has 103 rooms and suites which put you slap bang in the middle of the action thanks to Campbell Gray group hotel's 360-degree views. Rates start at $450 plus 10 per cent VAT.
