Ghaf Kitchen's Chickpea Pudla and Daal Will Make You Ditch Regular Beans on Toast in No Time

Forget Heinz's Baked Beans and top your toast with this wonderful concoction from Dubai catering company, Ghaf Kitchen.

Chickpea Pudla and Daal

Ingredients

  1. 600g Gram Flour
  2. 2tsp Tumeric
  3. 4tsp Coriander ground
  4. 10g Salt
  5. 640ml Water
  6. 1,100g Chick peas
  7. 500g White onion
  8. 10g Garlic
  9. 20g Green Chilli
  10. 10g Chill powder
  11. 10g Garam masala
  12. 250g Chopped tomatoes
  13. 20g Fresh coriander
  14. 100ml Vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Firstly mix the gram flour, tumeric, salt ground coriander and slowly add the water to form a batter, place into a squeezy bottle for service.
  2. Fry in oil to order, serve immediately.
  3. For the daal, finely chop the white onion, garlic and green chili and sweat down. Then add the spices and cook out.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes and chick peas adjusting the seasoning and cook for a further 20-30 mins on a low heat.
  5. Pick the coriander and garnish on top of the daal.
