Beginning this evening, Dubai International Airport is expected to see one of the busiest weekends of the year. With the Eid holidays coming early next week, DXB's terminal 3 alone is expected to see over 106,000 throughout the holiday weekend, and airlines have warned travelers to allow plenty of time to get to the airport, check-in, and go through security.
Even if you're a risk taker and willing to brave being short on time, there's another reason to get to the airport early this holiday season, and it's a way to kick-start your vacation before you even board.
A new initiative launched by Emirates Leisure Retail and Dubai Airports called Early Birds Have More Fun is designed to help travelers begin their trips even sooner.
Vacation-goers can visit www.earlybirdshavemorefun.com to view and download offers, which will provide 25 percent off at Emirates Leisure Retail restaurants and shops, as well as at Be Relax Spa. Participants will also have the chance to win a family trip to the Maldives.
Shemaine Jones, who is the Head of Marketing at Emirates Leisure Retail, said: "Our belief is that airport dining should positively add to your travel experience - be it for business or pleasure. Our menus and outlets are designed to offer choice and I think most passengers would be pleasantly surprised at how quickly we can deliver world-class food and drink, be that at Pret A Manger, giraffe, Jack's Bar and Grill, The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck, Noodle House or Costa Coffee."
Matthew Horobin, Director - Brand Engagement, Dubai Airports added, "Passengers can get all the details about the early birds offers on the dedicated microsite, while our main website dubaiairports.ae is a go-to guide for all of the airport's services and experiences, as well as flight tracking and booking tools. This summer, we can safely say that early birds have more fun at Dubai International."
Safe travels and happy shopping!
