To commemorate 50 years of the Israeli occupation of Palestine, The Palestine Task Force on Public Diplomacy launched a social media campaign that both raises awareness for the realities of life under occupation, and allows Palestinians to share what occupation means to them.
Using the hasgtags #Occupationis and الاحتلال_هو#, Palestinians are engaging in an online conversation, about life since the 1967 Israeli occupation of Palestine.
Speaking to Stepfeed, the campaign organizers explained that their "aim is to raise awareness about the occupation and its injustices by humanizing the Palestinian people and their cause in the eyes of the world, through creating a series of narratives encapsulating its impact on people's lives."
