Whether it's dressed in the colors of the UAE flag or glistening in the background while the Dubai Fountain dances, it's not often we see the Burj Khalifa without it's most glamorous look on.
However on March 19 that all changes as the tallest building in the world goes dark to acknowledge Earth Hour.
The global initiative organized by WWF, will see locations big and small get involved as the planet is encouraged to switch its power off.
Instead between 8.30pm and 9.30pm candles will be lit in a grassroots action move that has made not only an environmental impact worldwide but helped change legislation.
To help the climate change cause people are being asked to donate their Facebook accounts, use the hashtag #EarthHourUAE, purchase merchandise and of course switch off your lights.
If you're not inspired to host your own Earth Hour event, there are plenty of places to join in the fun.
