February is a busy month for things to do in Dubai, with music and food festivals plus opportunities to focus on wellness and enjoy family days out. Find out what's on in the busy Emirate, below:
1. Go out with the girls
Jamaican restaurant Ting Irie is finally licensed and is celebrating by launching a Ladies Nights where women get three free drinks and 30 percent off food from 7pm-11pm.

2. Enjoy a month of wellness
Talise celebrates its 10th anniversary with complementary yoga, workout classes and free trial sessions. 'Facereader' Eric Standop will visit Dubai again to offer insights into health, character and destiny. The DNA Health Center will offer free heavy metal screening and a ladies' lecture on hormones and preconception health. Activities are set to include: a Blood Donation initiative, Yoga and Tai Chi classes, daily giveaways on social media and health and nutrition talks.

3. Plan your wedding
Whether you're engaged of just enjoy a good set of nuptials, The Wedding Fair is the bringing together of Emaar Hospitality Group's wedding venues, with the region's top wedding providers, including planners, designers, make-up artists and florists.

4. Watch Abba in the Park
Well, a tribute band…Abba-Revival-the-Tribute tickets priced at AED225 per person, customers can enjoy a picnic basket featuring Scottish smoked salmon with Russian vegetable salad served with artisan breads, vintage cheese, walnuts and homemade chutney, pasta salad with tomato, pesto and buffalo mozzarella bocconcini, chilled roasted chicken, asparagus and goats' cheese quiche. A baked cheesecake with mix berries and a complimentary welcome beverage per person is also included.

5. Go head-to-head with yourself
INKED's third pop-up series, Tête-à-Tête, challenges diners at their Alserkal Avenue venue to dine facing a mirror while getting to know the two diners beside them. It could mean the opportunity to make a few new friends as participants are asked to switch chairs in between courses. Check it out each evening at 8:30pm where a maximum of 40 people with gather. Who knows… you might even find yourself a date for Valentine's Day!

6. Step up!
The Vertical Race at Media One is back where participants warm up from parking level ground to 7 before heading up 700+ steps to Level 42. Starting at 10am, it costs AED99 to enter and prizes valuing AED50,000 will go to the top three men and women respectively.

7. Head out for some street food
Truckers DXB is back with a series of food trucks from the likes of Calle Tacos, Copperwood, Toasted, The Shebi, Sir Loin & Sons, Yumtingz and Gobai, as well as 25 local crafts and jewelry vendors. Guests can bring their own mats, blankets and chairs for a picnic-style experience 5pm-11pm each week.

8. Remember the magic of Disney
Madinat Theatre kicks off an exciting new season with a ten-day run of classic family musical, Aladdin, a simple boy from the streets as he meets the Genie, seeks Princess Jasmine and fights the evil Jafar. Ticket prices are as follows: VIP AED270, Gold AED230, Silver AED200 and Balcony AED180.

9. Celebrate French Pancake Day
Plantation Restaurant & Terrace is going crêpes crazy with beef consommé with sliced herbed crêpes to zucchini and potato pancakes with chicken, tomato and fresh basil. Banana crêpes, topped with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce or crêpes with cinnamon sugar and orange cream are also available for those of you with a sweet tooth. Prices are a la carte from AED35.

10. Take a family day out
The Handmade Dubai Market is back where family and friends can enjoy a day of shopping by the lakeside. Children can be left to roam around and explore the special kids' entertainment and arts & crafts from 12pm-6pm.

11. Sing for your brunch
The Lucky Brunch runs from 1-4pm with each group receiving a free karaoke pod for an hour plus the opportunity to dance to a DJ and take part in lip synch battles. The soft drinks package is priced at 195 AED, house beverages at 295 AED and sparkling package at AED350. Courses (which include ceviches, pork items, tacos, sliders, salads and authentic Italian pizzas) are named after famous songs such as "Start Me Up", "I Got You Babe", "Let's Get It On", "That's Amore", "Don't Stop Me Now" and "Sweet Like Chocolate."

12. Take part in the Terry Fox Run
The non-competitive 5km Terry Fox Run returns to the emirate for the first time since 2013 and is completely funded by volunteers with no cash ever exchanging hands except to donate. Inspired by man who ran across Canada over 30 years ago after he was diagnosed with cancer aged 18, participants begin running at 9am.

13. See a music legend in concert
Emirates Airline Dubai Jazz Festival has Sir Tom Jones, Mariah Carey and Enrique Iglesias headlining three days of gigs. Support acts include The Rad Trads, Raul Midón and Nathan Sykes (who used to be in pop band The Wanted).

14. Hang out by the Harbour
RiseDCH showcases emerging trends and concepts from the world of music, retail, technology design and gastronomy in the new neighborhood. Expect DJ performances, visual showcases by Emirati artist Jumairy, Volta Wheel performances, plus food trucks and movie screenings during the event from 2pm until midnight.
