For any parent, seeing their child drive for the first time is a proud occasion, but it probably doesn't compare to the feeling in Saudi Arabia right now.
Sunday marked the first day women could legally drive in the country and Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal bin Abdulaziz al Saud filmed the moment he took a road trip with his daughter – this time with her behind the wheel.
The excited businessman, philanthropist and investor can be heard in the clip he posted on Twitter asking Reem if she's ready and reassuring her that everything is okay as she can drive officially now. Before driving herself and the prince's grandchildren home though, she tells him to fasten his seatbelt, cheekily adding that women know the laws more than men now …
In the video, the prince is sure to thank King Salman bin Adulaziz Al Said and his Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, for letting women drive in the Kingdom, just one of the many forms of progress females have made in KSA.
Saudi's ban on cinemas was lifted recently and females can enter sports stadiums.
With Six Flags coming to Saudi and stars keen to make movies there, there's no doubt tourism will be one the rise too.
