Dubai is full of fun things to do, Abu Dhabi has some amazing culture to lap up, while the likes of Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah are great options for a beach or desert break for nature lovers. Sharjah on the other hand can often be overlooked but this new opening could change all that.
The emirate is now home to the largest IMAX screen in the UAE. Located at Zero6 mall, from April 10 Cinemacity IMAX is enhancing the way people in the country see new films, starting with The Rock's new one, Rampage.
It's a collaboration between Sharjah Cinema Company and Exclusive Cinema Holding of Lebanon and Alef Group which brings the movies to a luxury shopping destination.
IMAX ticket-holders – whether buying the Deluxe Class, Club Class or VIP Star Class seats which fully recline – can use the VIP Lounge. Guests can then order fine dining food and refreshments to their seat. Or just a regular popcorn if that's what you prefer.
Think that sounds plush? There are also two VIP theaters that provide access to the Star lounge. Cinemacity has decked the place out with five more large screen theaters with laser projection technology and Dolby Atmos sound systems. If Hollywood blockbusters aren't your preference, don't worry, because they also have Bollywood and Arabic motion pictures too.
We won't all be able to make it to Sharjah but Exclusive Cinemas have revealed that 116 venues will be open by the end of the year across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Jordan and Syria.
