Construction of Dubai's second tallest tower is to start in the third quarter of this year. The project, developed by Azizi Group is set for completion by 2022, a couple of years after the city's upcoming The Tower will break records.
The 570-metre tower on Sheikh Zayed Road will add the already impressive skyline which boasts the Burj Khalifa and recent world's tallest hotel, the Gevora.
Costing AED3billion, the building will be made up of 122 storys, 100 floors of which will be apartments and 22-floor belonging to a hotel, reports Gulf News.
More details are to come but I could be just as brilliant as The Tower, which will be part of Dubai Creek Harbour – a 6km new real estate project that is a joint venture between Emaar Properties and Dubai Holding.
It's designed by Spanish-Swiss architect Santiago Calatrava Valls, who are known for their space-age designs, such as the New York City's new World Trade Center transportation hub and the City of Arts and Sciences complex in Valencia, Spain.
