
As the best airline in the world, Emirates is not only a great name to fly with but superb employer too. Career options at the aviation company aren't just limited to flight crew or engineers though so the brand has gone on a big campaign to persuade people from their home country, the UAE, to ahem… get on board.
During Careers UAE 2018, an event held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, with the aim of boosting leadership and harnessing the professional careers of Emirati graduates, the company is using their Unsung Heroes campaign to gain new emplyees.
Focusing on employees who work behind the scenes, video have been posted on the Emirates Group's National Recruitment Instagram account.
Part of the Emirates Group which is owned by Investment Corporation of Dubai. The airline is just one obvious job choice – queasy fliers can apply for jobs across a broad spectrum of businesses within the organization.
Obviously, within the airline division, the range of job opportunities is quite large. There are jobs in catering, facilities management, cargo handling, security specialists, doctors and trainers to airport, crew and uniform supervisors and security guards.
There's also those who work in the business side of the organization, in fields like Human Resources, IT, Procurement, Facilities Management, Internal Audit and Finance. Dnata – the Group's global air service provider that provides ground handling to 17 airports, is also an option.
Emirates is big on Emiratization, a plan which involves employing a targeted number of Emiratis, and offering scholarships, plus other benefits.
Thousands of Emirati's are expected to show up at Careers UAE 2018. Last year, almost half of the 17,953 attendees got jobs from the 160 recruiters at the event, with company's such as the UAE Armed Forces, Al Futtaim Group, DEWA and Emirates NBD bank, according to DWTC (Dubai World Trade Center).
Now that's what we call a career fair.
