It's home to the planet's largest floral instillation– an Emirates A380 aircraft made of 5 million flowers and weighing 100 tons. Now Dubai Miracle Garden has smashed another Guinness World Record, this time for the World's Tallest Supported Topiary Structure.
Taking the form of Mickey Mouse to help celebrate Disney's 90th anniversary, the 18ft attraction weights 35 tons, is made of 100,000 blooms and quite frankly could be your most popular Instagram post yet, if you're lucky enough to visit. It's made of White Petunia, Red Petunia, White Geranium, Yellow Viola, Zinnia Marigold and Green Alternanthera. More characters are expected to pop up in November.
Although impressive, it pales in comparison to the venue's jet attraction which took four months to grow.
It's made up of seven varieties of flowers including the Petunia, Coleus (Plectranthus scutellarioides), Marigold (Tagetes), Snapdragon (Antirrhinum), Viola, Geranium (Pelargonium) and Gaillardia (Gaillardia aristata) and over 9,000 flowers and plants make up the Emirates logo, alone.
One hundred thousand pretty blossoms cover the plane's 80.27-meter-wide-wings and it was no easy feat. Two hundred people collaborated to put it together, working 10-hour days for six months.
Dubai Miracle Garden is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Regular admission is AED45 per Adult, AED35 per child (from 3-12 years). Entry is free for people with disabilities and children below 2 years old.
