1. Make your bed
Making your bed as soon as you wake up will help you head out into the world feeling refreshed, and it's also nice to come home to a neat bedroom at the end of a long day.
2. Exercise
Most of us don't have time for a spin class or a 30-minute run every single morning, but even a 5-minute stretch is a great way to move around a bit and start the day feeling refreshed.
3. Plan out your day
Knowing how your day is going to unfold will help you approach any situation that may come your way. Make a list of things you need to get done-- even if you don't write it down, having a schedule in your head will help you feel more organized and in-control of your future.
4. Give yourself a pep talk
Successful people talk to themselves, and the most successful people use their names. Try addressing yourself each morning, even if just to say hello. Talking to yourself provides social support, even if you're alone which is beneficial and can lead to a more successful day.
5. Set a goal for yourself each morning
Go into the day with a goal. Even if it's something small like remembering to drop off your dry cleaning, you'll feel more satisfied at the end of the day if you feel that you've accomplished something.
6. Wake up early
This doesn't mean waking up when the sun rises, but it's important to give yourself enough time to enjoy the time before you start your day. Having a rushed morning can lead to a stressful day, so be sure to set your alarm to a time that allows you to get organized for the day without being crunched for time.
