We're told time and time again to check out breasts every month and make sure we report any abnormalities to our doctors right away, but The Dubai Mall is still doing their part to remind women how important it is to detect breast cancer as early on as possible.
As well as slapping a giant pink ribbon in the middle of The Dubai Fountain, they're also turning the huge attraction pink every night between 7.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. With the area being a huge place for tourists and residents alike to gather, the stunt will certainly get people talking about breast cancer when they spot the unusual hue.
In partnership with Shams (which means 'sun' in Arabic) Emaar, people are also encouraged to text "TDMBCA" to 4201 to make a AED10 donation to the Al Jalila Foundation. Alternatively text 4206 to donate AED50, 4209 for AED100 and 4409 to donate AED500.
While you're at it, visit any guest services kiosk in The Dubai Mall to pick up a pink ribbon to wear and show your support during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
