People in the UAE woke up to a thick fog this morning, and conditions were bad enough that the RTA issued a warning to motorists in the country.
During heavy fog, if you couldn't continue driving, stop your vehicle off the road and turn on the waiting signals. #DriveSafely

Though it did cause some concern on roads, especially for people in Sharjah, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah and Madinat Zayed in Abu Dhabi, it also had people speculating whether the appearance of fog means that summer is on its way out, and the cooler months are imminent.
It certainly seems likely-- the forecast for the next ten days shows lower temperatures than we've seen in months, with not a day over 40 degrees in sight.
While the fog is always a tell-tale sign of cooler days in Dubai, it's also an Instagram opportunity, and people in the UAE were quick to snap photos of the season's first foggy morning. Some even shared photos using the hashtag #WinterIsComing, anticipating the arrival of a new, more bearable season.

While we certainly still have a few weeks of indoor-days ahead of us, this is the first sign that there's an end in sight...and we're pretty excited.
